Ben 10 Ultimate Boot Camp

My whole family and our nephew JM spent the whole afternoon yesterday (Saturday Nov.13th) in the Ben 10 Ultimate Boot Camp held at the Music Hall of Mall of Asia (MOA). The event actually started at 10am but we arrived there around 12noon so we decided to eat lunch first.

When we reached the Music Hall, the second set of the event hasn’t started yet, so we were able to register and roam around the area together with hundreds of Ben 10 fans. Gosh! There were so many people trying to squeeze their way inside and my eyes keep rolling because I got dizzy, lol.

Photo below were taken at 2pm and the other one at 6pm.

There were lots of prizes at stake but each kid must finish 10 tasks to be able to graduate and be one of Ben’s allies in protecting Earth! The kids were all ecstatic and can’t seem to get enough of the tasks that they kept going back for more, lol. I also can’t stop taking pictures because this was the very first time (I think) that the cousins got together for an event like this. We all ended up so dead tired when we got home.

There are different stages that the kids went through and in each one they got to do some Ben 10 trainings to gain these skills:

• Speed
• Coordination
• Super Strength
• Accuracy
• Precision
• Agility
• Balance
• Flexibility
• Aim and
• Coolness under Pressure

Below are some of the photos I took while they were trying to accomplish each task:

Here are the accumulated prizes they got from all the trainings they passed:

Overall, this event made my kids and JM very satisfied because of all the loots they brought home. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get the Ben 10 bags, mugs and T-shirts because they were given to the first 100 kids only. So much so for being late comers, lol.

Though I have to say that the coordination within the Ben 10 crews was not at all that praiseworthy. Some of the mommies including me complained that we were given a run around when it came to getting the prizes our kids deserved.

We waited in a long line in the registration area just to redeem the loots when all along there were no more prizes. Those people in the registration area didn’t even inform us. I came up and ask what we were waiting for, because the line wasn’t moving. That’s the only time one of them told us that no more prizes and that we should go and ask the admin. What the heck!

There was a long line luckily I was in the first 10. Upon hearing the feedback, we hurriedly went to the admin’s table and formed a line. After waiting for about 15 minutes, one of the crew said that we weren’t supposed to be there and that they will transfer the line to the registration area. I was so pissed because parents and kids were all tired and wanted to go home,we can’t because we were waiting for the recognition. So, my being “mataray” came out and approached the head of the crew. Voiced out our sentiments and she decided to let us stay but the kids will be the ones to fall in line.

Finally after a lot of fussing around, the show continued. The highlights of the event were the awarding of the certificates and the photo opp with Ben 10 and Gwen. Of course the kids were oh so happy to meet the two heroes.

These are the Ben 10 ultimate Boot Camp Certificate and the Cartoon network tumbler for each graduate.

It was a fun event and the kids enjoyed it so much that they still can’t stop talking about it. I just hope that next time we can have some out of the country vacation next year so we can spend some days in the Holiday Parks South West England. Hubby and I are looking forward to a vacation like this and we’re sure that the kids will have so much fun!
