Switch to Maynilad Paperless Billing Program

I have this expandable folder where I file all our bills, you know, several pockets with matching colored labels. I don’t want to miss any statement of accounts or see one, not in its proper pocket, therefore, it’s only me who handles that folder. Hahaha, I know some of you can relate.

But, due to the crisis, companies have started setting up websites and alternative payment processors. With this bold and necessary move, going paperless is the next best thing! With that said, happy to say that Maynilad now has a Paperless Billing Program! Hurray because going paperless actually has a lot of benefits for both sides!

What is the Maynilad Paperless Billing Program and its benefits?

You now have the option to receive an Electronic Statement of Account (e-SOA) instead of the actual paper itself. I honestly think you should choose the paperless option coz no more filing, you can check it easily online and it’s environment-friendly!

You don’t have to meet the meter reader and be fearful of COVID-19 transmission via the paper. Besides, that type of paper ink can be easily washed out once it gets wet.

Aside from easy access online, you can monitor and track in case you forgot if you already paid, take note of unpaid billings, water consumption. In short, all your Bill and Payment Histories, Meter Readings, and Billing Summaries are in just one place with a few clicks of the mouse.

I also love the feature of getting an SMS or email for bill notifications.

Who can and how to enroll in the program?

You are a Maynilad user, of course, whether your water connection is under the owner’s name or the tenant/occupant, but only one enrollee per account is allowed.

If you already have a My Water Bill online portal account and have been enrolled since October, you are automatically pre-enrolled to the program and will therefore stop receiving your paper billing starting with this November 2021 billing period. You will receive an SMS/Email notification regarding this.

If you don’t have a portal account yet but wish to enroll in Paperless Billing, it’s time for you to create one. Just follow these steps:

1. Visit https://mywaterbill.mayniladwater.com.ph/.

• Enter your Contract Account Number (CAN).
• Nominate a password (The password should be between 6 to 20 characters with at least one (1) uppercase and lowercase letter, and one (1) numeric digit).
• Set security questions to secure your account.
• Select your personal image.
• Input your contact information.

Once you have a portal account, you can now enroll in Paperless Billing via SMS. Just text MAYNILAD<space>ON<space>PAPERLESS<space>CONTRACT ACCOUNT NUMBER send it to 09191626000.

It’s that simple! Note that your mobile number will have to match in the My Water Bill online portal account. Also, the activation will take effect on your next reading schedule after your application has been approved. This means that you will start receiving the e-SOA in the next billing cycle, or one month after your application was approved. Note that once the application for the Maynilad Paperless Billing Program is activated, you will no longer receive a hard copy of your water bill.

I already got my billing and I so appreciate that it’s one less paper to file every month hahaha! I’m into eco-friendly living and lifestyle, so this definitely is a great move for Maynilad!

The portal is so easy to navigate, neat, and all the relevant info is there. At least, this way, I can just go online and check my billing. I hope soon they can also activate their own payment processor so all will be done in just one portal.
