AC Health, Generika and FamilyDOC Partners with Hapinoy to Improve Health Access for Moms

Generika Drugstore, the pioneer in the retail of affordable, quality generic medicines, and FamilyDOC, the largest retail clinic chain, both member companies of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), recently partnered with Hapinoy, a social enterprise, which assists micro-entrepreneurs and sari-sari store owners, to provide discounts and benefits to its members who are mostly mothers.

AC Health President and CEO, Paolo Borromeo, Generika Drugstore President, and CEO, Dino Francisco, FamilyDOC General Manager, Raymund Paul Darroca and Hapinoy Founder and CEO, Mark Ruiz led the signing ceremony held last April 24, 2019.

Borromeo said that the partnership is in line with AC Health’s advocacy of improving healthcare for more Filipinos through primary and preventive healthcare, especially to mothers.

“At Generika and FamilyDOC, we consider mothers as our partners in health, since they are often the first providers of healthcare in the home. We believe that a healthy mother nurtures a healthy home,” Borromeo added.

Through the partnership, Hapinoy was able to provide MedPadala vouchers as a form of health benefit for its employees. MedPadala is an electronic gift certificate that enables the purchase of medicines at any Generika store.

On the other hand, FamilyDOC will provide more than 10,000 Samahang Hapinoy members, mostly mothers, with free check-ups at any FamilyDOC branch. They are also eligible for a 10% discount on FamilyDOC’s laboratory and imaging services.

Hapinoy believes that this partnership will help improve productivity of its members as it focuses on their over-all health and wellness.

“Through this partnership, we hope to not just cater to their livelihood needs, but most especially their healthcare concerns,” Ruiz said.
