Cooking oil is a staple in any kitchen. We basically use it in most forms of cooking. The thing is, are you using a healthy brand for your family? You can bet that in my household, we only use what’s best for our health and one of which is Jolly Claro Palm Oil!
After a mini huddle last December with the people from Fly Ace Corporation, select mommy bloggers learned the methods and facts about Jolly Claro Palm Oil. Indeed, we were all amazed at the clarity of the cooking oil even after three batches of fried chicken compared to other brands!
So, in order to further test what I’ve initially witnessed during the event, I’ve decided to do it at home. I already saw the left-over Jolly Claro Palm Oil used by the chefs and though it was still “claro” or clear and can be used again, I have to find out for myself.
I wanted to see if it’s still as clear as what I’ve seen before so I added our trusty breading which the kids love on their fried chickens. The above was the first batch.
There was a second batch but I forgot to take a pic coz my boys were so hungry, so this was what’s left of the ‘golden fried chicken” hehehe
And after all the cooking, check out the Jolly Claro Palm Oil, still clear and can be definitely reused for 2 more batches! The breading settled at the bottom, can be filtered when it’s time for another batch, well, that was the next day hahaha
Photo comparison from the start to finish. Honestly, hubby and I though expensive, uses olive oil most of the time, yep even in frying. We don’t use as much quantity like in the video. But, ever since I got the Jolly Claro Palm Oil and think of it as one healthy option, we’re using it every time now.
Just so you can compare it with your brand, here are some interesting facts:
- Resists oxidation
- Doesn’t get rancid
- Doesn’t solidify
- Has an equal portion of saturated & unsaturated fat
- Palm oil comes from the flesh of the fruit of the oil palm
- In its virgin form, the color is orange-red because of its high beta carotene content
- It has a high content of Vitamin A & antioxidants
