SARSAYA Oyster Sauce became popular when they launched it last year with Coco Martin as its brand ambassador. Of course, who wouldn’t recognize this dashing actor who’s also been tagged as the King of the local primetime series? I’m sure if you’re a Pinoy, you know “Ang Probinsyano”.
This year, they launched a new TV Commercial at a Filipiniana-themed event dubbed Exploring Local Flavors with SARSAYA last July 5, 2018, at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Quezon City.
Invited media guests were treated to an exclusive #kaSARSAYAn Filipino Food Walking Tour featuring local street food and carinderia favorites within the storied walls of Las Casas. Award-winning food writer Ige Ramos, who also serves as president of the Culinary Historians of the Philippines, led the group as food tour captain.
Participants were able to sample fishballs, squidballs, traditional pancit habhab served on banana leaves, and carinderia-style adobo complemented by SARSAYA® oyster sauce.
Concentrated from real oysters and specially made to suit Filipino taste and preference, Senior Brand Assistant Rhenz Villanueva shared that “SARSAYA has reached the number three spot in the oyster sauce category within only one year of being in the market.”
Primetime King and SARSAYA ambassador Coco charmed media friends when he shared stories from the set of his most recent brand commercial. In it, Coco happily chimes the catchy jingle, “Lasang Oyster na Oyster, SARSAYA®!”
When asked what his take on the success of Sarsaya® being 3rd leading brand, he shared, ”Siyempre po masayang-masaya ako. Nakaka-proud na sabihin na ang pagtitiwala ng Ajinomoto sa akin bilang endorser ng kanilang bagong produktong Sarsaya® ay nagbunga ng maganda, at naging positibo ang pagtanggap ng mga mamimili rito.”
