My sons and I are suffering from asthma for many years now because of several reasons. Last June, when Sharp held an event for mommy bloggers and featured their newest series of Plasmacluster products, their presentations caught my attention. Anyway, for this post, let’s talk about the Sharp Mite Catcher Mattress Cleaner. It’s another awesome innovation from the company and I could say, a life and budget-saver!
Why did I say it’s a life saver? Because when bed bugs bite, it feeds on your blood, transfers the bacteria in your blood stream which can cause diseases. For those with asthma like us, dust mites can cause allergies, which can lead to severe attacks and may cause you your life if not brought to the hospital in time.
Budget-saver? A big yes! Don’t worry about the electricity bill as it will not consume that high if you will be just cleaning one bed at a time. Besides, what’s a few hundred pesos added to the current electric bill, if it will save you from huge hospital bills, right?

I used the Sharp Mite Catcher Mattress Cleaner on all our beds, pillows, sofa, and even car seats. I know by cleaning it all, there will be a hike in our electricity bill next month. I don’t mind at all coz as I’ve said above, beats paying thousands of pesos in hospital bills.
Here’s a 3 minute actual video on how I cleaned a stained portion of our bed. The result was remarkable! If the Sharp Mite Catcher Mattress Cleaner can do that, I hope I got all the bed bugs or dust mites too!

Here’s what it looked like when compared. No visible stain, plus the bed is more like it has regained its original color.
After and BeforeSorry got the images mixed up and so the “after” was the first image and the latter is the “before” the process, lol.
It was kinda puzzling why it went back to its normal color. I usually have all beds taken out once a week and be sort of dusted and baked under the sun. My idea of killing bed bug, bacteria and germs hahaha.. I’m sure you do that too!
Evidently, as you will see in the pictures below, dusting and baking is not enough!
The last image above is what I got from that bed portion alone!!! Imagine the amount of dust the whole bed has accumulated!! Forgive me but in my rush to throw the content of the vacuum and for fear I might spread it in the air, I threw it all in the trash and had it taken outside.
