The Fight Against Flu started last November 9th with Piso Bakuna Sulong Guro School Tour by Glovax Biotech Corporation. First stop is the Krus na Ligas High School in Diliman, Quezon City. Teacher, students, school personnel and their families joined the campaign and were immunized with flu vaccines for only Php 360.00.
Aside from the flu vaccines, the Piso Bakuna: Sulong Guro advocates were rewarded with special treats and instant prizes. Students also got the chance to express their heart-warming messages of gratitude to their teachers at the Glovax Natatanging Guro Message Board; they enjoyed taking selfies and groupies at the photo booth.
“We, (at Glovax) are supporting our country’s drive to increase take-up of the flu vaccine and are inviting everyone to have the vaccination. Flu is a serious illness and we want to make sure teachers, students, and the whole school community are protected against it,” said Dr. Geraldine Alingog, Glovax VP for Operations.
Glovax is encouraging every Filipino to join the fight against flu. Through Piso Bakuna: Sulong Guro campaign, immunization is now made even more accessible. They will be visiting schools for the last two months of the year, in continuous celebration of the National Teachers Month, to administer flu vaccines. Other schools around the metro like Sauyo High School, as well as Bangkal Elementary and High School also joined the campaign.
