Product Review: VitaPops – Pop Rocks Vitamin C For Kids

My kids are my life thus protecting them from sicknesses and diseases is my priority. I am constantly giving them their daily shares of vitamins and minerals to help boost their immune systems and to help them grow healthier. I’m happy when they are not sick and truly concerned even just for common coughs and colds.

I recently received a new Vitamin C product from Unilab, the Philippines’ leading health and wellness company, and I got so excited, that even I tried it!

VitaPops - Pop Rocks Vitamin C For Kids

My eldest son and I were laughing while the VitaPops granules fizzled and popped inside our mouths. I remember when I was young, there was this particular candy that also pops when eaten, I just forgotten what it’s called, but it gave me a happy feeling, like what this new vitamins does.

I was given several samples, so I had my eldest try it for a few days. The result was what I had expected! At the time my son first took VitaPops, he has impending colds and I stopped Ceelin for a while so I can fully test this product. Not that I’m sacrificing my son’s health, but I was confident the new vitamins will do the trick coz it’s also from Unilab, same maker of Ceelin.

Usually, when my kids are showing signs of coughs or colds, I give them a double dose of Ceelin, one in the morning and one before they go to sleep. This time, I only gave VitaPops since it’s also Vitamin C. You know what? 2 days after he took the first one, no more signs of colds! Great, isn’t it?!

So, I know you have been itching to know about VitaPops, so here are some of the details:

  • VitaPops is the first and only pop rocks Vitamin C in the country
  • Moms are assured that they can give both healthy and fun to their kids
  • It comes in Sodium Ascorbate form of Vitamin C so it is tummy-friendly and can be taken on an empty stomach
  • It contains only 1/5 of the sugar content of normal vitamins preventing tooth decays
  • It comes in single dose sachets which make it convenient for moms to give to kids. It can even be given as part of their everyday “baon.”
  • Only Php10 a day
  • For children as early as 4 years old to 12 years
  • Safe and FDA approved
  • 1 VitaPops sachet contains 50mg of Vitamin C which like giving 5 glasses of milk or 28 pieces of Calamansi or 1 1/2 glasses of freshly squeezed orange
  • Available in drugstores nationwide

I, as a mom, believe that giving the right vitamins and minerals to my kids are essential. But sometimes, these health supplements are not well received by some children because of the taste or after-tastes thus getting them to take it again the next day will become futile. With VitaPops, I assure you that you will have no problems coz it’s orange flavoured, sweet, plus the kids will enjoy taking them coz of the popping experience. I wish, Unilab will make a version of this for adults, lol.

Overview:

Kids will always have fun taking VitaPops. In fact, I’m sure they would choose this one over the regular spoonful liquid vitamins. It’s different because of the popping experience and we know kids like to do things that are new, fun and exciting. Don’t be fooled by the small amount of granules compared to a spoonful of your regular vitamins – ONE to TWO SACHETS A DAY of VitaPops is enough to attain the daily recommended dosage.

Pop Rocks! And they are still around – I buy them at a local candy store along with some of the “old fashioned” BonneBell lip smackers. I want some of these for myself!

The pops sound like a very good product to buy. I will look for them in my local store because I do not think I’ve seen them — I want to get them for my grand kids.
