This was a Christmas gift from my husband last year coz I was having trouble with another router. We were in a nearby mall and wasn’t really planning to buy but since the problem with the old one became consistent, he gave in to my wishes, lol.
I’ve already researched and asked my techy friends on what is the best router for them, a brand that they’ve been using for some time now. I have this friend who owns a computer shop just outside our village and she said that she’s tried most of the branded ones already. Her last one which she’s been using at home and in the shop for almost 3 years now, is a TP-Link. So, in short, that what I bought..
I wasn’t really sure how to install one and I don’t want to call my service provider to install it coz then I have to pay extra for that. Luckily, the model I bought, a 150 Mbps Wireless N Router, No. TL-WR740N, has a manual and a cd so I was able to easily install it. The instructions were easy to understand so I didn’t have trouble finding where to insert the cables.
It’s obvious that the cd needs to be run first. I think, I hardly looked at the manual coz there’s a label or mark for each button and terminals. What I did was insert the cd and followed the instructions from there.

A few minutes later and my internet was up and running. The salesman/technician at the computer store said that it could run 24 hours straight, 7 days a week, and I bought it specifically for that reason. So, I tested it and really wanted to see if what I’ve researched was true.
Alas! I found my “true companion”! I’ve been using it for 4 months now and I only turned it off when the whole family is out and no one is home. It hasn’t failed me yet and not even a hint of problem!
Some of you know that I work online, so having a good internet provider and a reliable router is important. The router, I use for my gadgets and 2 laptops. Yeah, I multi-task, so knowing that I have the best router (for me), makes my life a little easier.
