Some of us have tons of stuff maybe just lying around in one corner or stashed in the store room which haven’t seen daylight for a long time now. Well, those stuff either you have no use at all but simply can’t throw them because of treasured memories OR you have more than you can display .
Not that you are a hoarder but some things are meant to be kept, so you keep it without realizing that overtime, they will pile up and consume a lot of space/s in your house.
So, what do you do?
Let’s take the case of old compact discs and Nintendo video games that you have accumulated back when they were selling like hotcakes and in trend. Geesh, technology has moved on to more high-tech gadgets like tablets and blu-rays and you are still clinging on to the old generation inventions. Worst is, you’re not even using them anymore!
If you can let go of old memories and create new ones with your family, then why not explore the idea of selling them in exchange for cold hard cash?
People are doing it and there’s no shame in doing it yourself. In these times of calamities and recessions, we all need money for future expenses, right? We need to be practical besides, you can use those extra soon to be vacated spaces for something more useful. This will also get rid of all dust and allergy causing germs that has accumulated together with your old items. A neat house is what we need these days to avoid trips to the doctor or paying hospital bills.
Where to sell them?
Selling them will be easy-peasy as long as the items are still working and can be used. There are lots of collectors out there to sell them to but of course the cash equivalent depends on the quality and condition of the items. There’s nothing to it if they are defective or badly damaged but the trashcan in the backyard will be happy to take them.
You can also sell them online. You will have to search Google for legit websites that buy these old stuff. I’m sure there are hundreds of search results where you can sell Old DVDs, CDs & Video Games. Though you have to be very careful as there are many scams out there.
If you are really keen on getting rid of your old stuff and turning them into green bucks, you better start rummaging your store room now while there are still interested buyers. But leave those which you really cannot part with and some things that hold the most important memories in your lives. But be wary and be practical, for you might end up keeping all of them still.

I had no idea I could sell my old stuff- what a great idea!
Thanks for letting me know where to look so I can sell my stuff.
Does this really pay off? Is it worth the effort to sell old things?
Actually yes. I’ve tried it one time though my collection isn’t really worth that much coz they were not so old lol.. With clothes, plenty of times too and this one pays me a lot.
I have been saving all of my old DVDs and video games for our yearly garage sale but this seems like a sure way to get rid of them and make some money, thanks for this post.

Those games are classics, can’t believe you sold them! Just kidding, if you don’t use them it’s always good to convert them into cash, something usable.
I had no idea you could do this! Thanks!
This is a great idea! I’ve sold used games before, but not CDs and DVDs and I’ve got a lot of them I don’t listen to/watch anymore!
What a good idea. We usually just donate ours to our local library. A little extra money would come in handy for the holiday’s.
I need to tell my hubby about this.
Wow. My husband and I need to do this!

I have a lot of old games and Dvd’s. I have been doing some spring cleaning…. in the Fall, lol. Maybe I will sell some of the old ones that no one watches anymore. Thanks for the idea.
Now that the Christmas Holiday is here it is time to make room for the new things and I am glad to know that I can make a little extra cash by selling my old DVD and CDs.
Thank you for the information.
We get rid of so many old games we no longer play this way. We do this at least once a year.
