Sun Life Asset Management recently held its 2019 Market Outlook and Bright Offerings presscon. It wasn’t one of those usual investment talks given by such companies and I eagerly listened because of the fact that my one thousand pesos (Php1000) is enough to start an investment fund! Yes, you read it right!
Ms. Valerie Pama, President of Sun Life Asset Management Co. Inc. (SLAMCI), announced at the presscon a really “bright offering”, a reduction from the minimum Php5,000 to Php1,000. My brain is telling me to go for it and I will!
So, saan aabot ang P1000 mo? These days not much, sad to say. The inflation rate is high thus purchasing power of our currency is falling. You need to be wise when doing your grocery otherwise you’ll just be disappointed with the high cost and lesser grocery bags to take home. Honestly, a thousand Pesos is not enough when I go to 2 events in one day. Needless to say, the recent economy sucks and it’s time to review your budget.
What’s great about this newest Sun Life promotion is that you can start an investment at a lower minimum cost of Php1000 from the used to be Php5,000. An approach to reach a wider market and I think a lot of Pinoys will take the initiative and bite the offer. Come to think of it, it’s easier to save that amount by keeping at least Php33.3 per day and by the end of the month, you will meet the minimum. I know that not a lot of people can even afford to spare that money, but if you want a brighter financial future for you or for your family, you should stick to your guts and invest. Of course, if you have extra money, you can also increase the initial investment.
Technology also plays a big part when you start your Sun Life Prosperity Funds because now that the company has added more participating bills payment, it would be easier to invest and pay!
The Bills Payment Program is an easier way because now there are various channels like online and mobile banking, via ATM or the usual over-the-counter.
Sun Life wants to offer their clients the utmost convenience in terms of investing. It would be easier to schedule or do payments as we go about our daily schedules or activities. No more long queues and waiting!
