It’s a rare occasion that I bring along my kids to an event. Since my 8 year old is a huge fan of Hi-5 and especially Stevie Nicholson, I let him tag along and enjoyed an afternoon of fun with the Superdudes last April 6th at Century City Mall!
The event center was full, kids and parents alike were excited. Gosh, the kid in me got excited too as I also watched previous Hi-5s with Stevie and Fely.
The children’s book “Superdudes” created by Stevie was also launched and book signing was done after the event.
The Superdudes book is about “capturing the imagination of children in a playful and engaging way and is based on the philosophy that absolutely anyone and anything can be Super!”
Children and parents alike were ecstatic when the Superdudes showed up and performed onstage. Their costumes were a big hit with the kids and my son even bought the mask and cape so he can be part of the gang.

It was a truly fun afternoon and I’m glad that my son was there to witness the launch. He danced, clapped and jumped in excitement and can’t wait to finally meet the cool bunch.
Some of the kids, parents and media asked questions and the Superdudes gladly answered. When asked if they are willing to add a Filipino in the cast? Sure they are! And that sparked more cheers from the audience, of course!
After the rounds of questions and answers, they were finally ready for the book signing and photo opp. My little one had the opportunity to meet them and got to sit on Stevie’s lap near his crush, Flutterby, hahahaha.
Don’t worry if you missed this coz there’s another one on April 16th also happening at Century City Mall! It will be the ultimate Superdudes experience because there will be a Show and Workshop in a fun-filled stage show!
