Home and Living Tips and How To's

Flags You Can Proudly Display

When you think of purchasing and displaying the American flag or a variety of other patriotic flags, you most likely want to be able to proudly say that the flag you have on display is American made. When you begin to shop for American made flags, you may be surprised at the variety of sizes that are available and the many ways you can find to display them.

A lot of attention is focused on creating a landscape design that is aesthetically appealing. The addition of a flag pole with the American flag proudly waving against a blue sky is one of the most impressive items you can add to your lawn or garden. As an alternative to putting a flag pole in your yard, you can hang a flag from a porch railing or porch post. Attaching a holder to the front or side of your garage is another possible way to add a flag to your outdoor decor. Adding a spotlight directed toward the flag will elevate the beauty of your landscape in the evening hours.

American Flag

You can add an element of Americana to your interior decor by including a flag as a decorative accessory. An antique writing desk or a bookcase would be an ideal location for a small flag desk set. You could incorporate a desk top flag set into a child’s bedroom decor, your home office or your living room.

As an alternative to the American flag, or in addition to it, you may want to display a flag that depicts a specific branch of the armed forces or that commemorates a certain war. This is a wonderful way to show your support for those who are serving or have served in the military.

Handheld flags are often seen being waved during certain holiday celebrations. You can make them a part of your Memorial Day, fourth of July, Veterans Day or various other special occasion table decorations. Give small flags as party favors to encourage everyone to honor and acknowledge the significance of the flag.

When you look for American flags to use around your house or at your place of business, be sure to seek out American made flags. Purchasing an American made flag is just one more step you can take to show your dedication and appreciation to all of those who helped gain and continue to help maintain our freedom.
