Family Mommy Thoughts

My Baby Just Turned Three..

There are moments when I still can’t believe that God has blessed us with another very loving and sweet boy, Zeekee. I had two miscarriages before he was born. With PCOS and Diabetes, the chances of having another baby was slim. But we kept praying, even my eldest never forgot to include his “brother or sister” in his prayer list everyday. When the pregnancy test kit turned positive, I knew it had to be Ardhen’s prayers that God heard and finally granted our wish. We are truly blessed for having Zeekee and of course our eldest son, Ardhen. They’re our treasures, our life and love.

In celebrating his birthday, we went to Mall of Asia and had lunch with my Dad. We opted not to have a party because we felt that it’s not practical at this time. Anyway, his first birthday was celebrated with a grand party at McDonald’s. Maybe next year, we could have a little party with some kid cousins.

After we ate, the next destination of course, is Time Zone. Both kids and my hubby loves to play. They never get tired of doing the same thing every time we go to MOA. Luckily, there are lots of games and amusement centers there, so lots of choices too and believe me, you’ll never be bored.

My Dad’s so happy seeing the two boys having fun but got tired and decided to sing a few songs in a nearby Karaoke booth. He’s a great singer, not because he’s my dad, but he does have a great singing voice.

After that, we went to National Bookstore to buy Zeekee some books and educational toys. My dad gave him another set of ABCs. We bought him new books and the Mega Sketcher. It’s actually a better alternative to Magic Slate and the likes because this is more durable plus it has some shape markers included. He likes to doodle a lot and at least he won’t come running to me asking for more papers to write on,lol..

His birthday also marked another milestone. He was able to say these words straight and not baby talk – “Come on, Kuya, let’s go there” and after that, more sentences…

In closing, I want to thank God for all the blessings He has given us, for giving Zeekee a second chance to live his life with us, for everything, even if we didn’t ask for it…. To God be the Glory!
